1st Year students sponsored walk for STOP
On Friday 12th of May all 1st year students took part in a Sponsored Walk to O’Donnell’s Rock. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were able to eat lunch on the top of the rock. This was a fundraising event for their CSPE class. Students raised €855 in total. This money will be given to our chosen charity, North West Stop based locally in Drumkeeran. North West Stop is a community based organisation that works to prevent suicide.

Gaisce Bronze Awards
Congratulations to Ellen Fitzpatrick and Hannah Smith who were awarded bronze Gaisce Awards. They are pictured with Ms Cunningham the PAL and Transition Year Coordinator in St. Clare’s Comprehensive School.
Gaisce –The President’s Award is a self-development programme for young people aged 14 -25 which has been proven to enhance confidence and wellbeing through participation in personal, physical and community challenges.
It is a direct challenge from the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, to all young people to dream big and realise their potential.
Gaisce Awards are non-competitive and self-directed: participants choose their own activities, goals and projects with the support of their President’s Award Leader (or PAL).
