The Shannonside Recreational Campus is now moving to the execution phase. This will require continued support but in different ways than before. On Thursday, June 22nd the SRC will host a launch event at which they will share their current plans and outline the help they will need from clubs and community groups in the region.
They are inviting all clubs and community groups to send a couple of senior representatives to join them in the evening. It will start at 8:00PM sharp and will run for around 45 minutes.
The vision of the SRC team is to build a regional sports and recreational campus to serve the needs of the entire community in the upper Shannon region. A campus which will ensure that everyone – regardless of ability, age, or gender – can play, perform, and participate in their chosen sporting and recreational activity to the best of their ability.
The SRC will attract sport tourism and commerce; training and competition events, emerging talent programmes (FAI, IRFU, GAA) as well as summer camps, rehabilitation services and more. It will also service the upper Shannonside region and will also extend to national and international communities, clubs, groups and events.
Join them on Thursday, June 22nd 2023 at 8:00PM at the Carrick Business Campus (formerly the MBNA building) on Dublin Road, Carrick-on-Shannon.
