Leitrim area deaths - Saturday, July 29

Matthew Reynolds Srah, Knockcroghery, Roscommon / Gorvagh, Leitrim

Matthew Reynolds, Srah, Knockcroghery, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Gorvagh, Co. Leitrim, (Ex Garda Síochána), July 27, peacefully at Roscommon Hospice surrounded by his loving family in his 90th year.  Predeceased by his parents and very recently by his brother Peter (Pee) in Florida, USA. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Carmel and cherished son Mark, daughter-in-law Marina, grandsons Keelan and Noah, granddaughter Gemma, sister Margie (New York) and her husband Jim, nephew Patrick, relatives and friends.

Laurence (Larry) McCormack, Leitrim Village, Leitrim / Kildare

July, 27 (peacefully) at home with his beloved wife Colette by his side. Predeceased by his parents Larry and Kathleen, daughter Coleen, brothers Seán and Jim, sisters Ber and Maureen. He will be forever missed by his adoring family, his wife of nearly 65 years, Colette and children Lorcan (Terenure) Shona, (Ramsgate, UK), Ciara (Cootehall), Seán (Hamilton New Zealand), and Aoife (Holmes) (Cortober, Carrick-on-Shannon), daughters-in-law and sons-in-law Jim, Martina, Jono, Tim, Anna and Donnacha. Beloved grandchildren Andrei, Seán, Kyle, James, Niamh, Dara, Conor, Laurence, Aisling, Kate, Laoise and Donnacha, sister Ronnie de la Harpe (UK), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, wonderful neighbours recent and past, many friends and his Kildare GAA family.

Paddy Reilly, Kinlough, Leitrim / Sligo

Kinlough, Co. Leitrim and formerly of Glencar and Glasgow, July 27, 2023, peacefully in the exceptional care of the staff of Saint Phelim’s Nursing Home, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary. Dearly loved dad and grandad. He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his loving family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May their gentle souls Rest in Peace.
