Vote for Ted, Leitrim's doggy contestant in this year's Nose of Tralee

Get ready for a pawsitively exciting showdown; the 2023 nose of Tralee final is here and locals are being urged to vote for the adorable Ted who is Leitrim's entry this year in the competition.

The panel of judges have been hard at work, carefully handpicking the crème de la crème of noses – all 32 of them – to proudly represent their home counties and show off their sniff-tastic skills.

There are 27 tail-wagging dogs and five fabulous felines ready to strut their stuff and battle it out for the grand title of the 2023 Nose of Tralee. But here's the twist; the power is now in your hands as the final round of voting kicks off.

Out of a whopping 1500 entries, these fantastic final 32 noses have made their way to the top. They're now wagging their tails and purring with excitement as they ask for your votes.

Kate McQuillan of Pet Sitters Ireland said: "We can’t believe we're celebrating a decade of furry fun with 32 fabulous Noses! Each year we are blown away by the love that the people of Ireland shower upon their furry friends. This competition is more than just cute noses; it's a celebration of the unique and incredible personalities that make our pets our best pals.

And with so many cats in the final could this be the year of the purrfect cat victory? With our 10th anniversary in full swing, who knows what surprises are in store?”

Voting starts from August 3 all the way up to midnight on the 21 of August. Let your voice be heard and support your county nose.

The winner will be announced live on a Facebook Live on August 22 and will receive prizes from Pet Sitters Ireland, Tesco Ireland and David MCauley Photography.
