40 people on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital this morning

40 patients waiting on trolleys in Sligo University Hospital

There were 40 people on trolleys at Sligo University Hospital (SUH) this morning with 27 in the emergency department and 13 elsewhere in the hospital. 

The figures were the third highest in the country with 88 people on trolleys in University Hospital Limerick and 61 in University Hospital Galway. 

In total in the country, there were 448 admitted patients waiting for beds this morning, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch. 316 patients were waiting in the emergency department, while 132 were in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
