A Spoken Word Evening with Patrick Anderson-McQuoid

A Spoken Word evening will take place at the St Georges Visitor Centre by Patrick Anderson-McQuoid on August 30th. The guest poet will be Cathy Briel.

Patrick has performed many readings and exhibitions over the years. He was a recipient of the Leitrim Guardian Literary Award in 1993. He is the only Irish artist who has had his work exhibited aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery, Mission STS-133 in 2011 that rendezvoused with the International Space Station. 

Patrick was born in Dublin and is based in the North West of Ireland. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of The Tubular Gallery, Cork, and in 1978 was the Founder and Director of The Triskel Arts Centre, Cork.

At this reading Patrick will launch ART HEALS, a limited edition of 20 copies of a book of poetry and visuals. An exhibition of 9 ArtWorks will be on view. 

Due to a limited seating of 40 an entry code is required to confirm seating by forwarding your name to the centre at stgeorgevisitorcentre@gmail.com or to Patrick at dvadream@hotmail.com. Admissions are €5.
