Leitrim Pride events taking place across the county

Cllr Enda Stenson raised the Pride flag at the County Council offices last Friday which was followed by a tree planting ceremony at People’s Park with Carrick Tidy Towns

The organisers of Leitrim Pride 2023 are arranging a number of events to take place around the county.

“Raising this Pride flag today signifies our desire to be an inclusive county and to recognise the many diversities of those who choose to live and work within our communities….today should remind everyone of us to challenge intolerance, prejudice and discrimination around sexual orientation, gender identity and all forms of hatred,” said Cllr Enda Stenson at the raising of the Pride flag at Leitrim County Council last Friday.

Leitrim Pride Event List

  • Wednesday, September 13, Drumshanbo
    Tree Planting 3pm at The Mayflower.
  • Thursday, September 14, Carrick-on-Shannon
    Information Stall 11am to 2pm in The Market Yard.
  • Saturday, September 16, Carrick-on-Shannon
    Leitrim Pride March 1pm Gathering at Scoil Mhuire, finishing in The People’s Park. 80s Music Duo 3pm to 4pm at The Market Yard Centre.
  • Sunday, September 17, Manorhamilton.
  • Sunday Cool Down 12pm to 4pm Fulacht Fia Café

“The committee of Leitrim Pride stand together in support of all those who are left behind in the current system, and want people to remember to look out for each other and stand together with love,” said Roisin Lee Doyle, Chair of Leitrim Pride committee.

The committee also wish to thank all of the local businesses that have shown support throughout the festivities.
