'Change Your Mind Festival', a free Mental Health Promotion event organised by HSE Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services, will take place on Sunday, October 15, in the Hawk's Well Theatre, Sligo.

The Festival aims to raise awareness regarding prevention's importance and fight against the stigma of mental health.

'Change Your Mind Festival' is set to begin at 11am with entertainment for all ages.

Jay Ryan from RTE Junior is attending the Festival with his flea circus and puppet show in addition to other activities, such as face painting, mindfulness, yoga, fitness sessions, a talk on nutrition, a Magician, and much more.

Break-out sessions are expected at the event, including a discussion on coping with a loss, a panel of Psychiatrists to answer questions from the public and the President of the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland talking about stigma in mental health.

PJ Gallagher, Actor, Comedian, and Radio Presenter and the Podcasters Lock Stock and 2 Joking Addicts will also be speaking about their mental health journey.

Dr. Ignazio Graffeo, Senior Psychiatry Registrar with HSE Sligo/Leitrim Mental Health Services and one of the chief organisers, said, "We wish to extend a warm welcome to everyone to come along and attend this 'Change Your Mind Festival' and take part in the many activities on offer and find out information on how to improve your mental health and learn how to fight the stigma in mental health."
