The Glens Centre presents an exciting programme starting on November 3 with planxty legend Andy Irvine, after his extensive UK tour.
Andy was the first-ever recipient of RTE’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to Irish Folk Music. He truly is a giant of Irish music.
This is followed on November 5 by the Indian slide guitar virtuoso Manish Pingle, with Rupak Pandit on tabla - a rare treat of transcendental sound.
For theatre lovers, The Glens hosts its annual One Act Drama Festival, a feast of fantastic and sometimes weird entertainment that is a part of the All Ireland One Act series. It runs November 17-19.
Over the weekend of November 24-26, the annual celebration of all things Gaelic as Éigse Chluainín takes place in the town.
You can experience the famous Nosferatu film with live accompanying music, the Cabaret Chluainín and Pop Up Gaeltacht at Fulacht Fia café at the Castle.
The full programme for this and all other events can be seen at www.theglenscentre.com or through the Box Office at 071 9855 833 (Tue-Fri 10-5pm).
