Met Éireann is predicting long clear spells and scattered showers over the weekend 

SATURDAY: Mist or fog in parts to begin. Some sunny spells will develop with a few well-scattered showers too. Cool with highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in light to moderate northeasterly winds. 

SATURDAY NIGHT: A lot of dry and clear weather with frost for sheltered areas in lows of 2 to 6 degrees. Mostly light westerly breezes with some mist and fog patches forming. 

SUNDAY: Mist and fog will clear through the morning to give a day of sunny spells with scattered showers tracking eastwards in rather brisk westerly wind, heavier in the western half. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees. 

SUNDAY NIGHT: Long clear spells will occur further east. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees, occasionally fresh westerly winds. 

FURTHER OUTLOOK: Cool and unsettled with showers or possible rain most days, driest across the east and southeast.
