HSE is set to hold the Migrant Health and Well-Being event at Island Theatre in Ballinamore on November 18 from 2pm to 5pm, as part of its funded Migrant Health Project.
Eve Li, Donegal Intercultural Platform Community Development Worker, told the Leitrim Observer that the project focuses on increasing health information and advice to the migrant community in Leitrim.
“[It] looks into what challenges and barriers migrants in the 3 counties of Donegal, Sligo, and Leitrim encounter when accessing healthcare and what can be changed to increase better health outcomes,” she said.
At the event, it will be a free yoga session, health information, nutrition advice, free health screening, art and music activities and a free lunch (Halah). All migrant communities are welcome.
Bookings are essential. To register for the Migrant Health and Well-Being event, please get in touch through WhatsApp at (083) 4586 934 or (086) 4557 475.
