On this Friday evening, November 24 the North Leitrim Palestinian Solidarity Group will hold a candlelit vigil for Palestine at 5.30pm at Manorhamilton's Market Square.
The North Leitrim Palestinian Solidarity Group requests all attending the vigil to “please bring a candle and a jar (so that the candle doesn't blow out). There will also be a petition to sign which will call on the Government to 'make a referral to the International Criminal Court requesting that it investigate whether members of the Israeli government and military have committed war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza.'
“This is to ensure that individual members of the Israeli Government and Army cannot hide behind their state. We call upon the people of Manorhamilton, Kiltyclogher, Dromahair and Drumkeerin and throughout North Leitrim to come out and support this action to motivate Public Opinion and galvanize our state into action.”
