The Strokestown Park opened its doors to the public to launch their magical Christmas experience on November 11.
The event, attended by a vibrant crowd of over 400 people, featured captivating performances by the Brothers of Charity children's and young adult hip-hop group, heartwarming Christmas carols, and delightful cookie decorating for children. Meanwhile, adults explored the festive wonders of the Christmas shop.
The evening culminated in the joyous arrival of none other than Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves, with storytelling by Enchanted Croi. The Brothers of Charity expressed their enthusiasm for the event: "This Christmas marks the beginning of the 2024 partnership between Brothers of Charity Services and Strokestown Park, for an inclusive ecotherapy program in County Roscommon.
"This initiative supports older individuals, including those with intellectual disabilities, to connect with nature throughout the seasons at Strokestown Park.
Thanks to Strokestown Park House and the Roscommon Leader SICAP Social Prescribing Programme for their invaluable support."
