Dympna Daly Finn from Arigna was confirmed at a Fine Gael selection convention in Elphin in Bothar Rua on Monday 27th November to stand in next year’s local elections in the Boyle area for Roscommon County Council.

Dympna is looking forward to running as a new candidate alongside sitting Councillor Liam Callaghan.

Dympna is delighted to represent the people in her local communities such as Arigna, Keadue, Ballyfarnon, Drumboylan, Cootehall, Cortober, Boyle, and all the other areas within the electoral area.

A past pupil of Greaghnafarna National School and Drumshanbo Vocational School, Dympna currently works for the HSE in Sligo University Hospital as an Auxiliary Nurse/Healthcare assistant.

Dympna said representing the local community and the people who live there is important to her.

"I am keen to get out and meet people and talk to local business about the issues that matter to them and for me to try to take actions and look to see how we in the council chamber can introduce new initiatives within the area to try to improve local services and improve existing facilities to make North Roscommon a better place for all," she said.
