Chasing Abbey is set to be on stage at Landmark Hotel on December 28, bringing their unique spin on house to the world.
After blowing up in 2017, their debut self-release ‘That Good Thing’ put them on the map and bagged them the Irish Song of the Year Award.
Chasing Abbey’s single ‘Talk to Me’ received significant radio play and became the official track for the Football Association Ireland for that year. In May 2018, they released their single ‘Choices’, skyrocketing to number one within hours of its release.
In 2018, Chasing Abbey brandished their live capabilities, playing to crowds upwards of 20,000 supporting The Chainsmokers/Rita Ora at Dublin’s RDS stadium and headlining festivals like Sea Sessions and Longitude, as well as supporting Zara Larson, Martin Garrix and Enrique Iglesias.
The group’s debut tour, The Rollout, sold out across the country, seeing thousands of fans flock to their shows. Their 2021 single ‘Defeated’ went to number one on the TikTok dance charts and reached number four on the TikTok new music charts before it was even released.
Most recently, the group have been revisiting their roots. Their fusion of Irish traditional music with house has made them pioneers of a new genre- ‘Trad House.’ This re-imagination of centuries-old Irish traditional songs brought the world their latest hit, ‘Oh My Johnny’ (Banks of the Roses), which has been one of the group’s biggest hits. Following the release, they signed with Spinnin’ Records, Warner Music.
Tickets are on sale from Landmark Hotel reception (071 96 22222).
