Second-year Dromahair student wins gold at the Senior Schools Championships

Izabella Lehany Mc Goldrick, a Dromahair native, won gold in the 100m Freestyle at the 2024 Connacht Senior Schools championships for St Mary’s College, Ballisodare. 

Izabella is a second year student of St Mary’s College, who swims with County Longford Swimming Club under the renowned Mr Ronan Mc Nevin and his wonderful team of coaches. 

Based on her excellent performance, she will now form part of an Interprovincial Schools Team, where she will represent Connacht. 

Izabella who is on the Regional Skills Academy looks forward to a busy schedule of swim events for 2024, where one of the highlights for her will be attending and representing her club at the prestigious Mc Cullagh International open in Bangor from the 11th - 14th of April, 2024, which she recently qualified for, which is an outstanding achievement for a 13 year old.
