Difficult conditions in part of Leitrim due to heavy snowfall

Heavy snowfall in parts of Co Leitrim have impacted driving conditions on many roads.
Overnight falls and more snow this morning has left a lot of secondary roads in a treacherous condition.
A photo submitted shows an overturned car on the Doogarry road at Carrigallen while more elevated areas of the county also report heavy snowfall and difficult driving conditions.
Heavy snow in the Newtownmanor area this morning.
Thankfully, the snow is going to be shortlived with spells of rain forecast for later this evening and tonight.
Tomorrow, Friday, 9th February, will see spells of rain, with a chance of sleet in Ulster counties. Highest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees generally.
