There is nothing that can be said about grief except that it’s important to listen, and it’s important to speak.
Those burdened with grief have things to say.
Those who love them have a role as listeners.
The language of grief can be
A shared memory with a loved one,
A talk with a therapist,
Or a simple prayer in a church.
Loved ones hold us when we share our intimate memories. The therapist holds us as we talk.
And the community holds us as we light a candle or visit a sacred space.
