More businesses coming to Carrick Campus.
Cllr Sean McGowan sought an update on the engagement from the business community or private enterprise across the region in getting additional tenants for the Carrick Campus offices.A report by Economic Development said that three additional companies have become established tenants and Capital Development Designated Activity Company (DAC) continues to receive intermittent enquiries from interested parties for office accommodation.The response continued that plans are being finalised with respect to an Energy Upgrade Works Contract for the buildings which will improve its rental appeal and a five year business strategy is currently being developed.The response continued that a recruitment competition is currently underway to secure a Business Development Manager who will attract businesses to the campus.The IDA has visited the campus in the last fortnight.Cllr McGowan welcomed the reply and suggested "getting the likes of Google or Facebook in" if possible.He acknowledged the "huge government funding we got at the time and the executive put a great case together."
