Traffic calming measures urgently needed in Dromahair

Cllr Mary Bohan asked that the council put in place measures to deal with repairs to the footpath from the village in Dromahair to the park, provide a continuous footpath from the primary school to the village, and provide traffic calming on Main Street and on the Back Line.
The official response said that footpaths in Dromahair village will be assessed to see if 2024/2025 footpath repair funding can be extended to that location and noted that Active Travel is currently progressing plans for the provision of pedestrian facilities from the primary school to the village.
It continued that the Road Design office will be asked to assess the Main Street and Back Line for feasibility and consideration of traffic calming measures.
Cllr Bohan said she believed there should be a specific allocation for "the provision of new footpaths".
