A new series of An Ríl Deal is back on TG4 screens this Easter Sunday at 8.30pm with fantastic performances of traditional dance over 8 episodes.
Fantastic performers of all traditional dance styles, from Step dancers Sean-Nós dancers to Set dancers, and even a fusion of all styles, will entertain viewers.
Presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc, the series will feature dancers and groups from many counties across the country, including Westmeath, Kildare, Galway, Limerick, Dublin, Clare, Kerry, Wicklow, Mayo, Cork, Leitrim, Laois, Meath, Donegal, Derry, Antrim and Down.
There are no age restrictions on the dancers- young and old and everything in between will be showing their moves -solo dancers, duos and groups.
Keeping a close eye on all the talented hopefuls are our 3 judges, all experts in the field of Irish dance; replacing Labhras Sonaí Choilm Learraí for the next two episodes is dance artist, performer and teacher Sibéal Davitt, from Dublin, as she joins Úna Ní Fhlatharta, Maynooth, Kildare, and Ronan O'Connell from the Galway-Cairde Dance Company.
Each week will feature different dancers as they battle it out with show-stopping numbers in the hopes of reaching the finale and being crowned winners of An Ríl Deal.
This fourth episode features exciting entertainers from Kerry – Caoimhe O'Halloran (Kilcummin), Rinceoirí na Sléibhte (Kilcummin – teacher Adrian Moriarty) and TJ Cosgrove (Listowel).
The episode also features JigJazz (Newry, Co. Down), Scoil Rince Ennis agus Clarke Goodman (Ennis and Clarke Goodman Irish Dance Academy, Finglas, Dublin), Lauren Adderley O'Brien (Delgany, Co. Wicklow) and Alexandra and Toni O'Looney (Leitrim – teacher Edwina Guckian).
This is the ultimate free-for-all Irish dance competition and a celebration of all the Irish dancing traditions.
