Drainage issues in Mohill
Cllr Thomas Mulligan requested that the culvert/pipe crossing under local road number L-5620-2 in the townland of Liscloonadea, Mohill receive attention as it is preventing proper land drainage taking place.
A reply said the district office will carry out an inspection of the existing culvert on the public road and can replace, if damaged.
Cllr Mulligan responded, “We've been hearing about this for years and there is an issue there; there's a flooding issue and I've seen it for myself on numerous occasions. As my last motion, I'd ask that you not only investigate it but try and sort it.” Cllr Enda Stenson, who chaired the meeting, supported the motion as did Cllr Sean McGowan and Cllr Des Guckian.
