Sligo Rovers were delighted to visit the Abbey Manor Hotel in Dromahair recently and donate football jerseys to the children and young people that have moved to the Leitrim village over the past number of weeks.

Football Social Responsibility (FSR) officer with Sligo Rovers, Jamie Murphy said "As a community club with supporters all across the region, and further afield, Rovers have always been a club that tries to be a welcoming space for people from all communities.

Football is a global language through which people can be brought together and new friendships made.

The club has already established a football integration group with players from the Refugee and IPA communities in Sligo and we are hoping all things going well to set up something similar with players currently in the Abbey Manor hotel."  For more information on the Sligo Rovers FSR activities please contact fsr@sligorovers.com
