Seven new residential units to be constructed in Newtowngore

The site for the development in Newtowngore village.

At a special meeting of Ballinamore Municipal District held on Thursday, June 6, Leitrim County Council proposed to construct 7 No. residential units in Newtowngore village.

The subject site has an area of 0.3ha and is zoned ‘General’ in the Leitrim County Development Plan 2023-2029.

The proposed 7 No. residential units comprise of 2 No. two storey 3 bed semi-detached houses; 3 No. two storey 3 bed terraced houses; 2 No. single storey 2 bed semi-detached houses. The land is accessed from local primary road L1529 which
bounds the eastern boundary and contains a footpath with public lighting. 

The development was proposed by Cllr Enda McGloin and seconded by Cllr Brendan Barry. Cllr Paddy O’Rourke also supported the development.
