Ballygawley to see large crowds as big names set to headline during July weekend festival

Its Ballygawley’s 4th annual festival and Ballygawley Music Festival has gone from strength to strength with 2024 expected to draw the biggest crowd yet.

Thomas Walsh, one of the festival organisers said: “With the success of our festival in 2019 ,2022 and 2023 we are now in the final planning stages of this year’s event. We are excited about this year and will have people returning from many parts of Ireland but also from the UK and many other countries. Last year we had revellers from Ohio, US, Germany, Birmingham, Belfast, London, Achill, Offaly and Scotland. We recorded the largest attendance to date with great feedback received from attendees.

"The festival is run by a group of energetic volunteers from the community with the support of our many sponsors. For such as small village, we continue to attract top acts and have a great music line-up annually. Our festival has continued to grow and has become recognised now on the festival circuit in Ireland”.

This years event will take place from the 19-21 July. The event will take place in our festival Marquee in Ballygawley Village with acts on Friday night including, Sean Magee

The Whistlin Donkeys Band and Ryan Hennessy. On Saturday, Claudia Buckley, Derek Ryan and Cathal Herron will provide the entertainment, whilst on Sunday the sensational High Kings, Johnny Brady and Jack Reilly to complete night three.

There will also be a children’s event in the main tent on Thursday evening, July 18. On Monday 22 the festival will end with the Ballygawley Bank Holiday in Kellys Bar at 4pm. Tickets are now limited but they are available via www.ballygawleymusicfestival.com or from ticketstop.ie.
