Tributes pour in for 'loving and kind' Leitrim man after unexpected passing

Tributes have been pouring in for a Leitrim man who unexpectedly passed away last week.

Rafał Mickiewicz of Boyle, Roscommon / Leitrim passed away on Friday, August 30.

Since the sad news broke in, tributes have been pouring in for the young man, who has been described as “the most loving” person who always had a smile on his face.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Beautiful Friend Rafal Mickiewicz. He was the most loving, kind and sensitive person, always helpful, always smiling. Rafal touched many people's lives. You will stay forever in our hearts Rafal. Rest in peace Beautiful Soul,” wrote a friend in tribute.

“Sincere sympathy to Rafal's family on the sad news of dear Rafal's passing... A lovely man who we got the pleasure to know over the past few years. He will be sadly missed by many,” someone paid in tribute.

A fundraiser has been set up with his friends to help the family with funeral costs.

Rafał is deeply regretted by his loving parents Anna and Jerzy and his loving sister Urszula.

A wake will be held on Friday, September 6 from 4pm in The Yurt, Lough Allen Wellness, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim (N41PD62).

The funeral will take place on Saturday, September 7 at 2pm in Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Cavan Town.
