Planning permission sought for renovations at popular Leitrim pub

The owners of the popular Cryan’s Teach Ceoil have lodged a planning application to Leitrim County Council.

The owners of the Carrick-on-Shannon pub are seeking planning permission and retention permission.

The applicants wish to carry out alterations and renovations to the existing pub. They also wish to make updates to the existing B&B facility in order to provide nine short-term rental rooms for tourists, and one room for music lessons.

Furthermore, the application covers changes to the outside appearance of the pub and all ancillary works to support the proposed modifications.

The application also seeks to add solar panels on the southern roof elevation, and finally, to retain the existing beer garden at the pub.

A decision is due to be made by October 31, 2024.
