Leitrim County Library, Ballinamore
Irish lessons will begin in Ballinamore library on Tuesday, October 8 at 8pm. The classes are beginner level and are completely free of charge.
Ballinamore Library has built up a reputation for its Irish classes over the past 20 years. Hundreds of people have attended their classes and Ciorcail Chomhrá and speak of the atmosphere generated by tutors and attendees.
From the start date to Christmas, the focus will be on beginners, and those at a similar skill level.
Some of the beginners will be newly arrived immigrants who have never encountered the Irish language before coming to Ireland.
Others will be Irish people who learned Gaeilge in school and think they have forgotten it all, but they will soon discover they haven’t.
Anyone interested in taking part in these classes can contact Seán Ó Súilleabháin at 087 6821566 or email ballinamorelibrary@leitrimcoco.ie to book a place.
