New look Leitrim Yearbook hits the shelves across the county this week
The Leitrim Yearbook 2024 featuring interviews, photos and a round-up of the news over the last 12 months is on the shelves across Co Leitrim right now.
Produced by the Leitrim Observer/Leitrim Live team, this is a very special Leitrim Yearbook, packed full of interviews, stories and photographs that showcase the highlights of 2024 across the county.
As another year draws to an end the Leitrim Observer team looks back on the communities and people that make Leitrim such a lovely place in the Yearbook.
It has been a busy year, with plenty of milestones being marked, with a much-valued colleague Frankie Smith retiring after 47 years with the Leitrim Observer. Our feature looks back at the many highlights in his career and there are some great photographs included.
We also feature an interview with Shauna Murtagh, who represented Leitrim with such distinction in the Rose of Tralee during the summer.
We couldn’t look back on the year without featuring the Leitrim Ladies who won the All-Ireland intermediate title in such dramatic fashion in Croke Park. We focus on their brilliant win and include wonderful action pics and post-win celebrations.
The Leitrim Yearbook is also packed full of quizzes, puzzles and fun trivia to keep the whole family entertained throughout the festive season and beyond.
Leitrim Observer acting editor David Power said: “We are really proud of our Leitrim Yearbook 2024 that features some of the very best of the people and places that make Leitrim such a great place to live.
“It is packed full of stories, interviews, sporting events, and photos of this year's best moments in Leitrim over 2024r from Willie Donnellan and a number of local photographers.
“We hope it will give you many hours of reading and it also makes the perfect present to send to loved ones living abroad that are missing the county and want to get a real taste of home!
“We thank you for your support and hope you enjoy this very special Leitrim Yearbook.”
