UPDATE: Two candidates tied at 16% as 60% of Sligo tallies are counted

#GE2024: Leitrim Observer will be be bringing live coverage of the General Election count from the Clayton Hotel, Sligo.

UPDATE: Two candidates tied at 16% as 60% of Sligo tallies are counted

Independent Ireland candidate Michael Clarke and Eamon Scanlon (FF) are leading the Sligo tallies at 16 percent.

60 percent of the Sligo boxes have been tallied.

Eamon Scanlon (FF) is slightly ahead at 3036, Clarke has secured 2974 votes, followed by Frank Feighan (FG) at 2851 and Chris MacManus (SF) at 2561.

Potentially worrying times for Marian Harkin's (IND) as her vote has gone down to six percent, and Edel McSharry (FF) is hanging on at nine percent.

Aontú is polling at two percent and Green Party at one percent.
