80% of Sligo boxes have been tallied and Eamon Scanlon of Fianna Fáil is in the lead with 4,741 votes at 17%.
Michael Clarke of Independent Ireland is also polling at 17% with 4514 votes.
Scanlon could regain his seat which he lost in 2020.
Frank Feighan (FG) and Martin Kenny (SF) are well positioned to retain their seats.
Chris MacManus is polling well at 13%, and time will tell if there could be two Sinn Féin seats in this constituency.
Marian Harkin (IND) stays at six percent, but is likely to pick up transfers along the way.

Feighan - 15%
MacManus - 13%
Harkin - 6%
Cosgrove - 5%
Kenny - 5%
