Sligo-Leitrim Count Five: Aontú's Graham Monaghan eliminated

Outgoing Independent TD Marian Harkin is picking up on transfers but it may not be enough to save her seat.

Sligo-Leitrim Count Five: Aontú's Graham Monaghan eliminated

Count five has been declared with Frank Feighan (FG) still topping the polls.

Feighan and Kenny (SF) are certain to be retain their Dáil seats, while Michael Clarke (II) and Eamon Scanlon (FF) are extremely well positioned to be elected.

No one has been elected so far. 11 out of the original 18 candidates remain in the running.

Aontú's Graham Monaghan was eliminated in count five. His 1,425 votes will be distributed in count six.

Results from count five are as follows:

Frank Feighan (+110) - 9,213

Martin Kenny (+189) - 8,056

Michael Clarke (+117) - 6,330

Eamon Scanlon (+13)  - 5,965

Chris MacManus (+17) - 5,276

Edel McSharry (+29) - 4,560

Marian Harkin (+154)  - 4,678

Paddy O'Rourke (+171) - 4,272

Marie Casserly (+42) - 2,631

Nessa Cosgrove (+6) - 2,487

Gino O'Boyle (+17) - 1,862

Graham Monagahn (+78) 1,425 (eliminated)
