Sligo-Leitrim Count Six: Another count declared, another candidate eliminated

Count six was declared just before 1pm on December 1. There is not much to report, as still no one has reached the quote of 11,381.

Frank Feighan (FG) still leads at 9278, just over 2,100 from reaching the quota for election. Martin Kenny (SF) may overtake Feighan's lead on transfers in the next couple of counts.

Michael Clarke (II) received the most distributed votes, seeing him in a very strong position. It is looking less and less hopeful with Marian Harkin (IND) as it is likely Eamon Scanlon will see heavy transfers from Fianna Fáil candidates.

People Before Profit candidate Gino O'Boyle was eliminated and his 1954 votes will be distributed.

We won't see a candidate elected until this evening.
