The Market Yard Live concerts in Leitrim were a major draw, with unforgettable performances from legendary singer Seán Keane and the dynamic Doherty Doocey Quartet on Friday night. Sunday’s show was equally memorable, with the sublime Garadice taking to the stage, supported by the local favourites Gan Ainm, who warmed up the audience on both nights with energy and flair.
Throughout the weekend, the Market Yard had a host of fantastic local groups and musicians, keeping the spirit of the Gathering alive with performances, tunes, and good cheer that created a truly welcoming and festive atmosphere for all.
A highlight of the weekend was the album launch of “The Missing Guest” by Shane Meehan and Mick Mulvey in Cryan’s Teach Ceoil. The crowd were brimming with appreciation for the duo’s masterful musicianship and the depth of tradition captured on their new album.
The town pulsed with life thanks to a fantastic Session Trail, with musicians playing their hearts out in pubs all across Carrick. The organisers say a huge thank you goes out to every musician who contributed to the incredible weekend, and to the bars who so generously hosted the sessions and kept the tunes flowing.

“Heartfelt thanks to the event sponsors Connacht Bottlers, Smithwicks, and Heineken, and to our funders Leitrim County Council and Fáilte Ireland for making it all possible.Until next year – go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir!” they added.
