Four one-bed houses to built in Ballinamore
Four new one-bedroom social housing units are to built on Main Street, Ballinamore, Leitrim, with the build due to commence in October 2025, a meeting in Ballinamore heard this week.
The project will take around 14 months and has gone to tender with a tender return deadline of July 30, 2025 and will be completed in early 2027, it's projected.

Cllr Gary Prior, who asked about the development, said the houses would be "very welcome to the town; four one-bed units. We know how much they are in demand at the moment so I look forward to seeing them started."
Cllr Ita Reynolds-Flynn supported the motion with Cllr Enda McGloin also voicing his support.

He said: "It's a bit of waste when a two or three-bed goes to a person where a one-bed will suffice so it's a good direction for Leitrim County Council to go to."
