Kiltyclogher
Planning permission has been approved for the construction of new houses in a North Leitrim village.
On Monday, October 1, Leitrim County Council granted approval to Setia Construction Ltd. for the development.
Four new houses will be built on Cashel Road in Kiltyclogher. The project will consist of four two-storey semi-detached dwellings: two three-bedroom houses and two two-bedroom houses, along with service connections and associated site development works.
The planning permission is subject to 20 conditions.
Among these are requirements that the developer must secure a Connection Agreement from Uisce Éireann for both wastewater and water services, and that the development must not interfere with existing land or road drainage.

Landscaping and screen planting, using tree and shrub species native to local hedgerow systems, must be carried out during the first planting season following the start of construction and permanently maintained thereafter.
In addition, a footpath must be provided along the entire western and northern roadside site frontage at the applicant’s expense.
The development must also adhere to the principles of universal design and take into account the needs of individuals with mobility, sensory, or intellectual impairments.
Site development and building works are restricted to 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 2pm on Saturdays, and are strictly prohibited on Sundays and public holidays.
Any variation from these times will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances with prior written approval from the planning authority.
