Location for proposed bus stops
People are being invited to submit submissions for the Kinlough Bus Enhancement Scheme by Active Travel.
Leitrim County Council has developed a scheme for the provision of Bus Stop Enhancement Works at Gubacreeny and Edenvella Townlands in Kinlough.
This initiative forms part of the 2025 Active Travel Bus Stop Enhancement Programme, through which Leitrim County Council aims to upgrade existing bus stops and related public infrastructure. The primary objective is to make public bus services more accessible while enhancing passenger experience, comfort, and convenience, in line with guidelines set out by the National Transport Authority.
The proposed works include the installation of bus road markings and poles, the installation of one bus shelter, the construction of a zebra crossing with beacon lights and new tactile paving, the upgrading of public lighting, and associated works such as surface water drainage, line marking and signage, traffic management, and all related site development works.
