Bóthar Na Naomh trail
Leitrim councillor Ita Reynolds Flynn has warmly welcomed €200,000 announced by Ministers Dara Callery and Jerry Buttimer under the ORIS scheme for the further development of Bóthar Na Naomh trail and extension of the trail to Cloone GAA park and Creigharee Ancient Holy Well.

The application was made to the Department of Rural Community Development by Leitrim Development [Company under the Outdoor Recreation Scheme 2025.
She said: “I am really thrilled to see this significant funding allocation to further develop what is a terrific community resource for Cloone village and the surrounding hinterland. This is an ongoing development that was initially first funded by former Minister, Heather Humphreys and I wish to commend Leitrim Development Company staff were their hard work in preparing the excellent application."
She added: "In conclusion I wish to thank both Ministers for listening to my representations regarding the further development of this project and I look forward to seeing many more people both local and visitor use these wonderful walking trails in the future."
