Members of Carrick-on-Shannon Tidy Towns Committee with Leitrim County Councillors
Leitrim County Council is set to hold a civic reception for members of the Carrick-on-Shannon Tidy Towns committee following their remarkable win last month, with Carrick-on-Shannon being named both the tidiest town in Ireland and Ireland’s tidiest small town, a historic first for any town to achieve both titles.
The national event took place in Croke Park on October 24, bringing together 600 Tidy Towns volunteers and over 900 towns in competition.
The Carrick-on-Shannon committee attended November’s meeting of Leitrim County Council to present their prestigious award.
