Leitrim milliner and fashion blogger Jennifer Wrynne, in collaboration with Irish jewellery house Dylan Oaks, has helped raise more than €50,000 for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI).

Together, Jennifer Wrynne and Dylan Oaks launched a specially designed ‘Infinity Necklace’, which generated an impressive €53,844.26 from sales in support of NBCRI.

Jennifer, who is currently undergoing her third round of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in June, recently unveiled the exclusive necklace at the Dylan Oaks store in Kildare Village. The piece sold out within minutes, with 100 percent of proceeds directed toward NBCRI’s vital research work.

Crafted by the design team at Dylan Oaks from 925 sterling silver and plated in 18kt gold, the ‘Infinity Necklace’ features an elegant interlocking loop design symbolising an unbroken bond, strength, and endless hope.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women in Ireland. One in seven women are expected to develop the disease, with more than 3,587 new cases diagnosed each year.

NBCRI, headquartered at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway, collaborates with international partners to advance diagnostic techniques and treatment strategies aimed at improving outcomes for patients.

John and Laura McAnenly of Dylan Oaks, along with Jennifer, visited the breast cancer research lab at the University of Galway to meet the research team and present the cheque for €53,844.26 to NBCRI Chairperson Dr Caroline Loughnane and NBCRI Research Director Professor Michael Kerin.

Following the visit, Dylan Oaks owners John and Laura McAnenly said the brand was honoured to support Jennifer and the work of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, and were delighted that their necklace generated so much awareness and funding for the charity.
