Caredoc has secured sufficient HSE funding to meet the demands of INMO and SIPTU unions and to end the current strike action, it has been confirmed.
Payment will be processed immediately to all staff, once funds are discharged by the HSE, a statement from Caredoc outlined.
The increase in funding has been agreed to sustain Caredoc services going forward.
"We have requested the INMO and SIPTU unions to seek an immediate return to work tonight, in the interests of patient safety," Caredoc outlined in the statement.
Concerns were raised ahead of the proposed industrial action, or work stoppage which would significantly curtail the GP Out of Hours services in Leitrim and the Southeast, Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford, South Wicklow and Northwest, Donegal, Sligo and West Cavan.
