Leitrim County Council has announced its Christmas opening hours for telephone services, offices and libraries over the festive period.
In a post on Facebook, the Council confirmed that its offices and telephone switchboard will be closed from 4pm on Tuesday, December 23 until Thursday, January 1 inclusive, with services resuming on Friday, January 2.
The Motor Taxation Office and Cash Desk will close from 12:30pm on Tuesday, December 23 to facilitate end-of-year financial procedures.
All Leitrim libraries will also close for the Christmas period from December 23 and will reopen on January 2. For confirmation of individual branch closing times, members of the public are advised to call 071 965 0462.

In the event of an emergency, the Council advises Leitrim residents to dial 999 for incidents such as flooding, fallen trees, downed electrical wires or dangerous structures.
Uisce Éireann can be contacted on its 24/7 helpline on 1800 278 278, while 01 291 0195 should be contacted in the case of a housing emergency or pollution incident.
