Motorists warned over oil spill

An oil spill has occurred on the R280 between Glenade and Manorhamilton today, according to Leitrim County Council.

A crew from the county council's Roads Department are on route to the area to carry out a cleanup operation.

In the meantime, motorists are being urged to drive with caution in the area as the spill poses a danger of causing slippage on the road and potential accidents.
