Three hospitalised following multi-vehicle collision in Leitrim

A man and a woman in their 40s, along with a man in his 50s, are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle collision on the R209 on Thursday evening.

Three people were taken to Sligo University Hospital following a three-vehicle road traffic collision that occurred in Leitrim on Thursday, January 15, shortly after 5:20pm.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on the R209 at Kilclarebeg, Carrick-on-Shannon. Gardaí have confirmed that the collision involved two cars and a van.

The driver and passenger of one of the cars, a man and a woman in their 40s, along with the van driver, a man in his 50s, were transported to Sligo University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The road where the collision occurred has since reopened.

Gardaí have stated that no further information is available at this time.
