A Status Yellow wind weather warning is currently in place for Leitrim and the entire country, issued by Met Éireann due to winds associated with Storm Chandra. This warning remains valid until 11pm tonight.
Storm Chandra has brought strong and gusty winds, particularly along coastal areas, along with a significant amount of rainfall, leading to disruptions and power outages.
Several power outages have been reported in Leitrim, including 15 customers affected in the Rossinver area, with restoration estimated for 6pm this evening, and 18 customers without power in the Mohercregg area, also with an estimated restore time of 6pm.
Conditions for the remainder of today are expected to stay wet and blustery as Storm Chandra continues to move northwards.
Heavy and prolonged showers are forecast to persist as the storm progresses, with showers continuing overnight.

Tomorrow is expected to be brighter, with sunny spells, although some showers will still continue.
Across the island of Ireland, over 15,000 premises are without power today, with Storm Chandra having its greatest impact on Wicklow, Dublin and Wexford.
Hundreds of schools have closed, and localised flooding has been reported.
According to Met Éireann meteorologist Gerry Murphy, 300mm of rain fell overnight in Dublin, with the heaviest rainfall this morning recorded across Ulster, Connacht and Leinster.
The weather warning will remain in effect nationwide until 11pm tonight, when Storm Chandra is expected to pass.
