RIP: Tributes paid to Leitrim woman who was a 'gentle lady with a sense of humour'

Annie (Nancy) McGoohan, late of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of AIB, Donnybrook House, Dublin 4 and Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim

Annie (Nancy) McGoohan, late of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of AIB, Donnybrook House, Dublin 4 and Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, passed away peacefully on 6th February 2026, in her 95th year, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by her parents Katie and Murtagh and brother Murtie; she will be sadly missed by her nephew Farrell and by her friends Anne, together with the O’Brien family and Ena Costello.

Reposing in Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Wednesday (11th February) from 4.00pm-6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday (12th February) at 10.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray followed by burial in Fenagh Abbey Cemetery, Ballinamore at approx. 3.00pm.

One comment said: "What a lovely and fun character she was. Great memories of her visits from Bray to Leitrim over the years particularly in the 90s and 00’s. It was lovely to have spent time with her in her home in Bray in recent years too. May her gentle soul RIP."
