Dolly (Helena) Reynolds (née O’Reilly), of Main Street, Mohill, and formerly of Crubany, Cavan, has been fondly remembered following her passing on February 11.

RIP: Leitrim community pays tribute to a ‘one in a million lady’

Tributes are being paid across Leitrim and beyond to a ‘wonderful person’ following her passing on February 11. Dolly (Helena) Reynolds (née O’Reilly), of Main Street, Mohill, and formerly of Crubany, Cavan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Sligo University Hospital.

Dolly was predeceased by her husband Chris; her brothers, James and Peter; and her sisters, Nan and Kathleen.

She will be deeply missed by her loving daughters, Geralyn and Mary; her sons, Mike, Fintan, Leo and Justin; sons-in-law, Liam and Jim; daughters-in-law, Imelda, Deirdre and Tara; her cherished grandchildren, Rebeccah, Lauren, Justin, Juliet, Michael, Emma and Caitlin; her sister Betty Cobey; her brother Michael; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; relatives; wonderful neighbours; and a large circle of friends.

Condolences shared on RIP.ie have remembered Dolly with great affection following her passing. “She was truly a wonderful, generous lady of whom I have many, many fond and cherished memories of time spent with her and Geralyn,” one condolence recalled. “Auntie Dolly was a beautiful soul whose kindness and warmth touched everyone around her. She will always be remembered with love,” said another.

“Dolly was always gracious, welcoming with open arms and a beautiful smile to all. She will be sorely missed by everyone,” another tribute shared.

Funeral Mass for Dolly took place on Saturday, February 14, in St Patrick’s Church, Mohill.

Dolly has also been fondly remembered for her time participating in choirs. “I’ve fond memories of singing in Mohill choir and the Millennium choir with Dolly. May she rest in peace,” stated one condolence. “Such a lovely lady and we have great memories of times together in the Millennium Choir,” shared another.

“A one in a million lady, a kind, caring, glamorous, friend to all,” another person wrote.
