There is a return to cloudy weather today (Wednesday) after the county enjoyed a rather sunny day on Tuesday.
There will be heavy cloud cover in Leitrim across the day, but little chance of rain and temperatures hanging between 8 and 11 degrees, according to MET Eíreann.
Tonight, the weather is expected to break with showers continuing through Thursday evening.
Further around the Connacht, though, a few sunny breaks will develop this evening, and rain and drizzle will develop near the west coast with the highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.
Meanwhile, there will be light to moderate southerly winds.
Tonight, rain in the west will spread eastwards to all areas overnight and will clear from western coastal areas by dawn.
Lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees, with moderate, occasionally fresh, southerly winds.
