ALERT: Fraudulent Uisce Éireann letters circulating in Leitrim homes

Residents of County Leitrim are being urged to remain vigilant regarding a scam that has been circulating in residential areas, with fraudsters posing as Uisce Éireann.

Scam letters have been delivered to people’s homes falsely claiming to be from Uisce Éireann and stating that they called to inspect a leak in the property.

The letters also feature a QR code. Members of the public are advised not to return any calls or scan the QR code, as this is part of the scam.

Any suspicious activity can be reported to your local 24-hour Garda station. Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station can be contacted on 071 96 50510.
