Leitrim woman has 'injected new life' into Leitrim's Down Syndrome Ireland branch

Tiffany Moore

Ahead of World Down Syndrome Day on March 21, Down Syndrome Ireland's Leitrim branch is shining a light on their dedicated administrator, Tiffany Moore, whose work has significantly enriched the lives of individuals with Down syndrome within the community.

Since joining the branch in September 2024, Tiffany has been a transformative force and injected new life and a sense of renewal into the branch.

By streamlining and overseeing the business operations of the branch, Tiffany has helped parents focus on their roles as active committee members, relieving them of the stresses and strains of the business end of things.

Tiffany consistently goes above and beyond for every member of the branch, whether that's attending meetings outside of standard hours or representing the branch at public events, her commitment is truly commendable.

As part of her role, Tiffany oversees all branch activities and member meetings, liaises with public bodies, state agencies, and local organisations such as Leitrim County Council and the Leitrim Sports Partnership, and supports parents, families and members of the branch in whatever capacity they need.

The branch is fortunate to have such a dedicated, patient and positive member of staff and hope Tiffany’s experience in her role as Branch Administrator is as rewarding and fulfilling for her as her presence is for them.

The Down Syndrome Ireland Leitrim Branch is a friendly and active network and support group for children and adults with Down syndrome, their parents, and siblings. Serving approximately 40 families across Leitrim and the surrounding areas, the branch offers services and activities including speech and language therapy, occupational and physiotherapy, yoga classes, friendship clubs and maths programmes.

Join the branch this World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st, to celebrate people with Down syndrome all over the world.
